Yellowfin Tuna one of the most powerful fish that swim in the Gulf of Mexico

As the sun arose on the eastern side of the seven mile rigs just a little to the southeast of south pass Capt. Mike Frenette of The Charter Boat Teaser was letting his fourth magnum rapala out of the back of the Teaser when a violent strike occurred on the short line. A fire tiger magnum rapala being trolled 25 feet behind the Teaser fell victim to one of the most powerful fish that swim in the Gulf of Mexico, The Yellowfin Tuna. Instantaneously 300 yards of 30lb. test line departed from the 30 lb. stand up gear that the Teaser Fishing Team was using. Although 700 yards of line on a reel may seem

like allot , one begins to wonder just a few seconds into the battle , if that really is enough. With the Teaser in "Hot Pursuit", of course in reverse, line began to slowly return on the reel. With approximately 200 yards of line still remaining between the reel and one of the strongest fish to be found, the angler was now faced with a one on one battle . Finesse, strength, and endurance will all play an important part on each end of the rod determining at the end whom will be the victor. As you can see , the Teaser Fishing Team prevailed with this one, and for the remaining of the day managed to bring 11 more to the boat, returning to the Teaser Clubhouse for a meal of seafood gumbo, Cajun potatoes, sweet corn, and fresh grilled Tuna. This all, just to re-enforce the true meaning of "Louisiana, The Sportsman's Paradise".
