Grand Lake is a fine producer of specs especially in late June and July. This is their prime spawning time. The speckled mule's dieat consists of anything from live shrimp, pogies or cocahoe minnows, to plugs such as top water which is my personal choice. Cocahoe tails on aa 1/4 oz jighead works well. A white plastic cocahoe was what lured in this 4 1/2 lb beauty.
