L.D.W.F. SEEKING EXHIBITORS FOR ANNUAL NATIONAL HUNTING AND FISHING DAY IN BATON
ROUGE
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has set the date
for the next National Hunting and Fishing Day (NHFD) statewide for Saturday,
Sept. 22 and is currently looking for exhibitors for the Baton Rouge location.
Interested parties can download the 2007 Exhibitors’ Registration Form from
LDWF’s Web site at http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/aboutldwf/NHFD. The form must
be faxed or mailed back to the contact information on the form by Sept. 7. There
is no charge to exhibit at NHFD.
Louisiana’s National Hunting and Fishing Day celebrates the outdoors by
inviting people in the Baton Rouge metro area to come to Waddill Refuge at 4142
Flannery Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and view exhibits created by LDWF personnel,
other government resource agencies and hunting and fishing groups like the
Coastal Conservation Association and Ducks Unlimited.
The Baton Rouge event offers hands-on activities including canoeing, skeet
shooting and a kids’ fishing contest from 9-11 a.m.
As always, admission and activities are absolutely free.
The event is sponsored in part by Baton Rouge Coca-Cola Bottling Company, The
Advocate, Louisiana Fish Fry Products and Associated Grocers.
Potential exhibitors should offer outdoor-related information or activities
that are family oriented. Events should be safe, educational and most of all
entertaining.
Solicitation is forbidden at this strictly free event, so exhibitors may not
sell products or services. LDWF will only accept qualified groups or
individuals. Space is limited, so send your registration form as soon as
possible.
