Marsh Rat Guide Service specializes in saltwater Flyfishing
from the brackish water marsh to the close in offshore rigs. Wade fishing the barrier
islands from West Timbalier Island to Four Bayou Pass. We are constantly in search of the
trophy fish our clients come from around the country and world to experience : species
such as the "Cajun Bonefish" or redfish,
speckle trout, black drum, flounder, mackerel, jack crevalle, cobia, blue fish, and trigger
fish etc.
Our Coastal Flyfishing is done exclusively from a 2240 Blazer Bay powered by a 225
Evinrude Etec outboard. We provide all tackle from special flies to Sage rods and Sage
reels, Which aid in the casting and landing of 40 lb. Cobia and 30 lb. Jack Crevalle or that
Bull Red of a lifetime.
Sight fishing the marsh for tailing "Cajun Bonefish" is done from the original
Marsh Rat. Our 15ft custom built aluminum hull powered by GoDevil out drives, which allows
us to put our clients on the fish wherever they maybe. Sight fishing tailing reds means
literally sight fishing tailing reds, looking for "Cajun Bonefish" from 2 feet of
water to 2 inches of water or mud! As previously stated in our Coastal fishing we provide
the best tackle to make your experience with us memorable.
Supplies not provided that you will need to make your fishing trip more memorable are:
Coastal Flyfishing Rates include G-Loomis rods and Abel reels,
flies, fuel, ice, and fish
cleaning.

Marsh Sight Fishing Rates from the Original Marsh Rat also include Sage rods and
reels, flies, fuel, ice, and fish cleaning.
