| John already put the trim tabs on. The yamaha 250 really moves that sucker a lot faster than I will ever need unless we are running from a storm or a real emergency. I loved my 226 and would never have sold it but katrina had other plans in 2005. The 256 is a lot of boat and a bit more complex to handle at the launch but I think a few trips will solve all that with some experience. I`ll attempt to get the pictures on site again tonight. |

Ed, I'm a "night person"! Don't usually hit the sack until midnight or even later. I wasn't aware you were buying an Avenger also Ed.

Comparing Avenger to other nice boats is really interesting! There are some fine boats out there...Triton, Champion, Shearwater, Blackjack, and others, but I couldn`t justify the the fully rigged big name brands. After looking for years, the avenger`s finsh, quality, custom options, and price made it an obvious choice. The Pabst family are quality folks and are more like members of my own family. If there is a better boat built for the price, I`d really like to see it.

drreb...just two Fridays ago, I had a well known RodNReeler with me as my crew on a trip to BSM and the Biloxi Marsh. He took the controls for most of the day showing me some of his 'honey-holes'. During our travels into the marsh, we met up with a charter-guide running a Triton w/225 Honda. My guest knew the owner of the Triton. I made the comment that Tritons were very nice boats and was told by my guest that he has riden in a few Tritons and in his opinion, my Avenger was a better riding boat and handled even better than the Triton!!! | John C I`m getting down this weekend and plan to spend 3 days fishing the new rig. Probably will be cold and windy but I don`t care. If you get down to Empire, stop by the J-Bar. |

| Could not have been a better trip! The rain Fri night was a downer, but Sat afternoon, Sun, and Mon, were all fine days on the water. We caught specks and reds where we could escape the wind and get to the right depth. The boat is just a fine piece of work and everything worked as expected. Those new ice chests are amazing...put ice in Fri evening and when I left Tues AM, we still had ice! Finally got the GPS unit working, but have never found swampro. Left her in her new boatshed home Tues and drove on home. Very, very pleased with the boat and plan to have many years to enjoy her. Noticed that John sold the dark blue 256 this week and will start to get her ready to go. |

drreb...what were the 'numbers' on the motor while running...RPMS & Speed??? PS...did you remove your GPS and brought it home??? You can you 'famaliarize yourself' while the GPS is connected to your computer provided you have the right USB Cable for the GPS unit...John Castelluccio, Jr.

Due to a pretty good wind, the numbers were a bit off, but the RPMs and MPH are just about equal in smooth water without a headwind. I did leave the GPS on the boat, but if I could ever get swapro and find out what the connector cable would be, I`d bring it home a play with it. Ed my boathouse is with a gentleman you may know. Mr Smitherman. |
