How often should you replace your spark plugs. Is it based on time or hours of operation?

these vro oil injected engines do not foul the plugs like the old mix em up engines. then i used to change them every month, unless we were racing, then every heat. especially when we had to double up on the oil to win. ed

since a change of plugs can be a little costly, a good check can be beneficial. Look first at the electrode. If its starting to round off, change them.If the gap is too wide, change them. If the ceramic is black and not tan, change them. If there is buildup inside the plug, change them.If it's been more than 100 hours, change them.

Napa parts stores sell marine plugs for a lot less than most boat places.
