Hello, my name is Jody Donewar. I am the owner and operator of Donewar's Wildgame Processing. I would like to thank you for taking a look at my web page and what I have to offer.

During the deer hunting season, when I am not guiding fishing trips on my charter boat, I am processing Deer and Hogs and other wild game.

Being taught to cut meat and make homemade sausage as a young boy by my father and grandfather, both of whom were butchers, I have been processing meat for 30 years.

I custom cut and wrap venison and make venison sausage. The venison sausage is made with 60% venison and 40% fresh lean pork.


I use only the best ingredients and the best casings. All the processed meat is double wrapped with heavy duty freezer paper, labeled and dated. All meat is processed with clean stainless steel knives, saws, mixers, grinders and stuffers.

My processing service is available October 1st thru February 28th.


I am conveniently located in Gretna, LA. , just two minutes from the New Orleans Mississippi River Bridge, now known as the Crescent City Connection.
